Preview

Currently, Aptana Studio does not support "Default Preview" of php files on Linux. This may crash Aptana Studio. (See Trac Issue# 6607 for details.

FTPS

Not all settings available in the Aptana Studio configuration screens are supported by all file transfer servers. A server might return an error if it does not support a particular setting. You might need to try different settings to get the connection to work; however, Aptana Studio defaults these values to what is typically supported and recommended for the given protocol.

Debugging (all debugging)

Note: Using an old version of the debugger and attempting to upgrade may cause errors. Uninstall your old debugger before installing the new version. See Uninstalling the debugger for instructions.

Breakpoints

• Deleting JavaScript code does not currently delete associated breakpoints. (See Issue #6595 in Trac.)
• Breakpoint line numbers are currently not sensitive to code deletions/insertions. (See Issue #6594 in Trac.)
• Wrapping JavaScript code in a function currently causes breakpoints to disappear. (See Issue #6578 in Trac.)

IE Debugging

Unsupported features

• Debugging files that are not part of a project. (Promote your folder to a "project" to debug these files.)
• Debugging straight JavaScript files
• Debugging local file:// pages
• Breakpoints in eval() code (dojo etc.)
• Detail formatters
• Anonymous functions name resolving
• Exception trace/breakpoint handling
• Assert API (like in Firefox extension)
• XMLHttpRequest: response data is not displayed
• Scripts tree

Firebug

For users of the YSlow plug-in, you may experience conflicts with the current version of Firebug.
